Biography
In the year 2001, DJ DNS (Dennis Wissink) and the Vinyljunk (Michel van den berg) teamed up as 2Junxion. It was on 31 december 2001 on Oldschool Madness vs Hardhouse X-Periments. Each with their own styles of music, they combined their individual skills and 2Junxion was born. In the beginning they were a DJ team, working with four decks and two CD players, fast mixing Acid and Techno. Pretty soon they started to produce their own tracks. 2Junxion released their first tracks on AcidTracks, a famous german record label. The owner of AcidTracks is also the promotor and owner of Acid Wars, Alex Jaeger also known as Man at Arms.
2Junxion is innovative, using Numark iDJ2′s instead of regular decks and CD players. With this machines 2Junxion is way ahead in DJ land. But still 2Junxion wanted to advance. 2Junxion added a vocalist to their team. Not just an MC, but a proper vocalist. Hinzy (Robert Mekkelholt), is also our voice on several 2Junxion tracks. During our performances he sings along with the tracks, he also uses a vocal machine to alter his voice.
2Junxion is now a five person Techno band:
- Two DJ’s (Dennis Wissink & Michel van den berg) working on 2 Numark iDJ2′s;
- One vocalist (Robert Mekkelholt) working with a digital voice controller;
- One VJ (Ton Nieuwenhuis aka 100.000) working with VDMX;
- One producer (Ruben Hulzebosch aka SynnyS) who performs live on stage with Ableton.
Our VJ 100.000 has a special made visual show for the 2Junxion performances. SynnyS is also a producer of 2Junxion. He is a track building machine, and he made a lot of 2Junxion releases to date.
